Childrens Birthday Card Project

childrens birthday card projectA simple but effective childrens birthday card project.

Here is childrens birthday card project from one of our forum members, this time Adrienne. It is quite a simple design but very effective and can be adapted to suit any child or adult.

By choosing different papers off the site for both the backing and the pyramid paper there are 100s of themes which can be covered.

This is a 1st birthday card for my nieces son Jack. I chose a Farmyard theme as animals are always popular for young children.

I found a suitable background on Craftville;”Farmyard cartoon Animal” page. Also a cute cow decoupage there. I used 6″ square apple green card blank, peel off wording and other decoupaged farm pieces already purchased.

Using a pyramid sheet in a birthday card

  • Made up the twisted pyramage cute cow.
  • Stuck my background paper to the card blank and cut an aperture in the center front the size of the cow.  I then adhered this to the inside of the card to show through.
  • On the front added “Happy birthday” wording and “1st birthday” sticker. Also jolly pig decoupage to front corner.
  • Inside stuck farm tractor and peel-off wording of animal sounds.

I am pleased with the result and am sure Jack will be. As I enjoy doing decoupage another time I would enlarge the card and add more animals. Also could do the same idea on Zoo theme.

Farmyard Animal Papers

Animal Decoupage Sheets

Edit: I like this childrens birthday card project because it shouldn’t be too difficult to so and is so adaptable. Pyramid papers are great for people who have difficulty cutting out the small parts in some decoupage designs. They are also a nice addition in their own right. Pyramid sheets are also great for children to use. They can be pre cut and just leave children with the sticking to do.

We hope you enjoy this childrens birthday card project. Please visit our main projects page to see more great ideas.
