Easter Basket Project : Paper Craft -

A great Easter basket project for both Adults and Children (Kids). Now with added Halloween and Christmas Basket Templates.

Here is a great project for everyone, a paper craft Easter basket. Originally made to a 12″ x 12″ template we have also made a smaller version. This can be made with a couple of sheets of A4 card.

The project has been made by “Pamela, one of our forum members. A link to her blog together with the blog from which she got the idea can be found at the end.

Every Easter I like to buy chocolate eggs for colleagues. This year I decided to make a basket to put the eggs in. I’ve followed a tutorial I found on the internet which uses a 12 inch by 12 inch sheet of card. I decorated it using 2 papers from free Craft Downloads – Small Eggs Bright and Mod Striped 001.

In photo 1 I’ve used white card to make it easier to show the measurements and the areas to cut away. The purple card on the right is after all the panels have been cut and scored.

The second photo shows the panels cut out and decorated ready to be glued together. This is the tricky part!

The final photo is the finished basket complete with handle and decorated with a sentiment, little chicks and a matching ribbon bow. All it needs now is the eggs!

I’ve previously made this basket using Halloween paper. It could be used for several different occasions such as Mother’s Day, birthdays and Christmas.

Edit: To supplement Pamela’s project we have made a few templates of our own. We have both blank and pre-decorated which you can download and print off. we have a 12″ x 12″ version for those who are lucky enough to have printers that size. Also a standard 8″ x 8″ version which can be printed in standard A4 paper.

We wouldn’t pretend that our basket is as good as Pamela’s or others we have seen around the net, but we did enjoy making it. Our Easter Basket project is made using one of the A4 templates as that is the maximum size my printer can cope with. I have placed a pen by it to give a sense of proportion. It is obviously smaller than Pamela’s example which is based on her 12″ x 12″ template. We hope you enjoy this project. By using the blank templates and other papers off our site you will be able to make a basket for almost any occasion .
